Why Surf in Essaouira?
The bay offers mellow beach break ideal for beginners year-round, with bigger swells Oct–March for intermediates. Consistent wind (300+ days) makes it a rare spot where surf and kitesurf coexist — surf mornings, kite afternoons. Less crowded than Taghazout, more authentic than Agadir resorts.
Waves & Conditions
Summer: smaller waves (0.5–1 m), best before 11am before trade wind. Autumn–winter: NW swells 1–2.5 m, prime surf season. Sandy bottom in the bay — no reef booties needed for lessons. Water 16–22°C; wetsuits provided by schools.
