Marrakech Menara (RAK) — main international hub, 175 km / 2h30 drive. Essaouira-Mogador (ESU) — regional airport 30 min from beach, seasonal European flights. Agadir (AGA) — alternative 175 km south, 2h30 drive.

Most common route for surf and kite holidays:
- Private transfer — €80–120 per car, 2h30, door-to-door; included in our surf camp packages
- Supratours bus — ~€8–10, 3h, daily departures from Marrakech bus station (book ahead in peak season)
- Grand taxi (shared) — cheaper but less comfortable; negotiate at station
- Rental car — good for exploring Sidi Kaouki and Imsouane; highway N8 well paved
- Shared shuttle — some riads and schools arrange group pickups on request
Essaouira Airport (ESU) → Beach
Taxi €15–25 (30 min). Pre-book school/hotel pickup during Gnaoua festival. Limited public transport — taxi most reliable.
Getting Around Essaouira
- Walk — medina to main beach 10–15 min
- Petit taxi — cheap within city (€2–5)
- Bus to Sidi Kaouki — local line several times daily
- School transfers — included for lessons, camps and surf trips

Most airlines charge sports equipment fees for boards and kite bags — check allowance before booking. Soft board bags recommended. Rental available at all Essaouira schools if you prefer to travel light.

RAK for more flights and lower fares; ESU if direct seasonal flight available and you want shortest ground transfer.
Is the Marrakech–Essaouira road safe at night?
Generally yes on main N8; avoid unlit secondary roads. Most transfers run daytime.
Can I take surfboard on Supratours bus?
Small boards sometimes accepted in luggage hold — ask when booking; large boards better with private transfer.
Do surf camps include airport pickup?
