Long sandy beaches, consistent swell, and far fewer crowds than Taghazout make it one of Morocco's best day-trip surf destinations. Our instructors read swell, wind, and tide each morning before choosing the optimal Sidi Kaouki peak for your group. When Essaouira Bay is too windy in the afternoon, Sidi Kaouki often delivers cleaner surf windows.

How to Get There from Essaouira

We include transport in every surf trip — no need to rent a car or navigate rural roads. Departure is from our beachfront school; drive time is approximately 30 minutes along the scenic coast road.

What to Bring on Your Surf Trip

We provide boards, wetsuits, leashes, and instruction. You should bring reef-safe sunscreen SPF 50+, a towel, water bottle, and warm layer for the drive back. Pack a snack unless you join the full-day option with lunch included.

Best Conditions for Sidi Kaouki

Sidi Kaouki works best on west to northwest swells with light to moderate wind. Autumn and winter (September–March) bring the most consistent surf. Summer mornings can produce fun smaller waves before the trade wind builds.

We monitor Magicseaweed and Windguru daily. If conditions are poor, we reschedule at no charge or offer an Essaouira Bay session alternative.
