What to Pack for Your Surf Camp in Morocco (2026 Checklist)

What the School Provides

All lesson and package prices include professional equipment — do not pack boards or kites unless you prefer your own gear:

• Surf: soft-top or hardboard, leash, wax, wetsuit (3/2 or 4/3mm by season)
• Kitesurf: kite, bar, harness, board, helmet, impact vest, wetsuit
• Wingfoil: wing, foil, board, helmet, impact vest, wetsuit
• Day trips: transport to Sidi Kaouki, spot briefing, all surf gear

Essential Gear to Pack

These items make your Essaouira holiday comfortable and session-ready:

• Reef-safe sunscreen SPF 50+ (apply before every session)
• Two sets of swimwear — one drying while you wear the other
• Quick-dry microfibre towel (hotel towels are often small)
• Sunglasses with strap — Essaouira wind is persistent
• Reusable water bottle — stay hydrated between sessions
• Waterproof phone pouch for beach and boat trips
• Basic first aid: blister plasters, ear drops, pain relief

Clothes by Season

Essaouira is windy year-round — evenings feel cooler than the thermometer suggests.

• Summer (Jun–Aug): t-shirts, shorts, light dress for medina, warm hoodie for evenings
• Shoulder (Mar–May, Sep–Nov): layers, light rain jacket, jeans or trousers for evenings
• Winter (Dec–Feb): warm jacket, fleece, closed shoes, beanie for post-surf warmth

Documents & Travel Apps

Passport valid 6+ months. Morocco offers visa-free entry for EU, UK, US, and many other nationalities (check before travel). Print or save PDF of booking confirmation and travel insurance.
