Essaouira Surf Camp School is an IKO (International Kiteboarding Organization) certified center. We follow the global IKO curriculum so your skills are recognized worldwide. With trade winds blowing 300+ days per year across shallow sandy lagoons, Essaouira is one of the best places on earth to learn kitesurf.
The Alizé trade winds blow consistently from April to October, typically 15–25 knots in the afternoon. Essaouira Bay offers shallow water for safe body dragging and water starts, while nearby Diabat lagoon provides flat water for progression.
Our location on Plage d'Essaouira means you walk from the school to the kite spot in minutes. No long drives, no crowded beaches — just wind, water, and expert instruction.

Every session begins with IKO safety briefing: wind window, emergency release, and buddy system. Instructors are rescue-trained and carry radio communication. We never exceed 4 students per instructor in group courses.
If wind is below 12 knots or above 35 knots, we reschedule at no extra cost or offer a surf session as alternative.
