Essaouira's flat, sandy beach inside the bay means children can play in shallow water between rides. The medina — a UNESCO World Heritage site — is a 10-minute walk from the beach, offering souks, ramparts, and fresh orange juice after sessions.
Unlike remote surf camps, Essaouira has hospitals, pharmacies, and family-friendly restaurants. Our team helps plan the perfect balance of surf and culture for all ages.
Our Surf Kids program is designed for children aged 8–15 (younger on request with private coaching). Sessions use game-based warm-ups on the sand, soft-top boards sized for small riders, and one-on-one pushing onto foam waves.
Safety is non-negotiable: instructors remain in the water at all times, never more than 4 children per instructor, and all kids wear rash vests and soft helmets upon request.
Flexible formats for families of any size:
Minimum age 8 for group Surf Kids. Ages 6–7 accepted in private family sessions with adjusted expectations. All children must be comfortable in water and follow instructor instructions.
We provide child-sized wetsuits (3/2mm), soft boards from 6'0 to 7'6, and UV rash vests. Parental consent required for all minors.
